Mikey

Welcome! My name’s Michael (Mikey), I was named after the King of Pop. Thanks Mam. I’m a coffee lover and creator from the North East of England, Newcastle.

Between 2016 and 2018, I lived on and off in a backpackers’ hostel (the price of London rent wasn’t for me.) I have never met so many Australians and Canadians in my life! Every day there was someone new. Each with a different spin on why they love travel. Dev from Canada blew my mind. He came all the way to England just to see the British cow. I thought it was a joke until I saw his Facebook pictures a few weeks later.

This discovery of people and their stories gave me the confidence to go out there and create my own across the United States of America, from the East to the West: where strangers along the way invited me into their homes (using CouchSurfing) and when I left, they said:
